May 6, 2013 – Face Your Fear

This morning we are heading out to do the initial check up for my wife following chemo and radiation – she had breast cancer. She has had to face fear – real fear – for over a year and she has conquered that fear as it showed up… this morning thought is all about – facing your fear..

“When you face your fear, most of the time you will discover that it was not really such a big threat after all. We all need some form of deeply rooted, powerful motivation — it empowers us to overcome obstacles so we can live our dreams.”

What is your fear – are you afraid to take another chance – does it seem like nothing will work? Well this is what we found and it works – check it out and talk with us!!!

October 25, 2012 – Motivation from Within

We are excited to send this thought to this morning – the creator of the thought is  Denis Waitley

Motivation is a contraction of motive and action. An inner force that compels behavior, it comes from within, not from any external circumstance. You know where you’re going because you have a compelling image inside, not a travel poster on the wall, a financial statement with a big bonus, or a slogan in the hall. The performance of many externally motivated individuals begins declining as soon as they win contests of one sort or another. I’ve personally witnessed this among Super Bowl champions and World Cup teams that lost the incentive to maintain their excellence after winning the cup, the honors, and the cash.

If you’re really committed to peak performance and leadership, you must motivate yourself from within. Studies of achievers show that inner drives for excellence…

July 14, 2013 – Habits

This morning’s thought is about habits – we believe they are not broke but replaced….

Habits aren’t broken, but replaced — by layering new behavior patterns on top of the old ones. This usually takes a least a year or two. Forget the 30-day wonder ones. I don’t know where motivational speakers got the idea that it takes twenty-one days to gain a new habit. It may take that long to remember the motions of a new skill, but after many years of being you, it takes far longer to settle into a new habit pattern and stay there. Habits are like submarines. They run silent and deep. They also are like comfortable beds, in that they’re easy to get into, but difficult to get out of. So don’t expect immediate, amazing results. Give your skills’ training a year and stick with it, knowing that your new ways…

December 15, 1012 – Change/Choice/Decision

This morning we are talking about change – this is your choice… make yourself happy…

Indecision is the thief of opportunity.

You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction overnight.

I used to say, “I sure hope things will change.” Then I learned that the only way things are going to change for me is when I change.

It doesn’t matter which side of the fence you get off on sometimes. What matters most is getting off! You cannot make progress without making decisions.

If you don’t like how things are, change it! You’re not a tree.

and as always you must live well to be well….to your personal wellness…

October 16, 2012 – Goals

This morning’s thought is what life is all about – without a goal how do you know where you want to go?  sooo….

To accomplish anything in life, it helps if you have some idea of what you want as the result of your actions. That’s called setting a goal. The whole purpose of setting goals is to plan your life rather than take life as it comes.

The most important part of goal-setting is knowing what it is you want. Once you decide what that is, write it down! After you have written your goals down, keep them somewhere where you can see them daily. As you achieve each one, add another.

Begin by setting 20-year goals. List the personal achievements you want to accomplish. Who and what do you want to be in 20 years? What do you want to own? Where and in what kind…
